Being too literal

I hate when this happens xD

Yeah, I hate when I'm drawing fanart, to be too literal about the fandom style, dunno why I do this, but when I get concious about that, I feel like I'm not making my own touch

I'm writing because of my Okami contest entry:

(yeah, I'm too lazy to scan this, is too big)

XD I'm going too literaly with the Okami style, I mean, I don't know how to draw wolves and I did my best to draw Amaterasu aawwnnn, but I don't want to end to a pic that'll look like a copy of okami artwork, and not puting something from me, maybe when I color this... this will look different XD, hahaha or maybe I'll just upload a humanized Okami later

, or I'm being too confused right now, hahaha, neh, whatever I'm going to finish this sooner or later x3

I'm not hating this piece, indeed I'm loving it, but since the okami news said: "inspired by the beautiful Sumi-e artwork featured by Okami" ... XD I felt like I'm just copying... pf xD

Wow! Pues a mi me pasa diferente

A mi me encanta copiar los estilos de diferentes artistas, porque uno siempre puede aprender mucho cuando se sale del "comfort zone".

Ademas que es todo un reto

Y cuando hago dibujos con mi estilo, no puedo evitar pensar "Destruyo la belleza original del personaje con mi estilo ;_;" xDD;
